53 lb. bluefin on an overnight

Went out on the Pacific Queen out of Fishermans Landing San Diego. Mine only weighed 53 lbs. on a hand held scale. One of my buddy's caught a yellowfin (3 total on the boat) these were tubs, to 80 lbs. the skipper said. On an overnight boat!
The rail is your friend, no zing pow, on the iron wenches, I like broccoli!

Those blue fin taste great!  Very nice!
IM hoping they return up to Monterey Bay again this year.

I took a picture of my buddy's fish and went to look for mine, but the put it back in the hole because I was keeping it whole. Got one in my driveway though. Lol!

There is no way you caught a Tuna in your driveway Warren. We all know that the only  fish you can catch from there is a Land Shark  ;D

Thanks for that report!

Just called my fishin bud in SD to schedule a 1.5 day for us later in May.

2 setups? 3? 4?  any advice?
