Hi, my name is Lee and I have a fishing gear problem.

I have all of the answers, yup, no, maybe.

I would rather have a single mounting hole for the gear sleeve.

I would say 2 holes are always better than one. Lightens the arm, gives you options. What is not to like?

Split Decision!
I like the utility of two holes, like Lee's early runs, of which I have a few.
That said, I'd also vote for a single hole, being more anatomically correct to original Penn handles on the bigger Senators.
My 9/0's use the short hole..and I'll probably never bother to use the longer hole.

So, my final answer is....
1 Hole   :-*

I just know from experience with your handles Lee, I always use the one in the back anyway.
I'm talking the 116 and up.
