My Collection of the four Bohemoths.
20/0, 18/0, 14 and 12.
I really want a 9/0 wide to top it off. I'm thinking Red, Purple or Blue, with a Silver spool. ;)
There is nothing to compare the 18 and 20/0 to. Not in my Arsenal anyway.

I'm not aware of a 10/0 model John.
I have been searching for a Vintage 12/0 Cairns model.
Hard to find in good shape.

That's an impressive collection Daron!

I appreciate the comparison photos. It definitely puts into perspective how huge the Everols are compared to the Senators. Still undecided on whether or not I will be getting a 6/0. I know about the drag increasing as amount of line decreases, but I want to be able to put some serious pressure if I need to in close combat. The shorter the battle, the better the steaks or so I've heard. Maybe I'll just buy the 7.5/0 and deal with the extra expense, as well as the extra weight. It would be so much easier if I just got an Penn International, but there's just something about the Everols. It's got that modern/retro look to it, and the design of the drag is just so different.

Damn Daron   8)

When you retire you're moving to the South Florida coast to terrorize the big Hammers...  Right?

John,
I at least want a summer house inland.
Maybe Milton.

but their max drag is only at 18lbs. I'm not a drag junkie, but wanted a least 25lbs for a rail setup for tuna.

It is actually a little more. The lever goes beyond the scale a bit, so really it is often more like 22 or something like that when bottomed out to sunset.

QuoteAnyone own a 7 1/2 everol?

Actually, yes. Unused for fishing; used only for prototyping the one-piece frame. So the frame is unanodized.

Not that I need another 4/0, but I like the look of this one. If it is only for display I don't need it.

That is quite early... I would say, early sixties, like ca '62. Hard to say when it was married to the Nep-Tuna though. Cool. Value? Oh idunno. One never does with these things.

Just be patient. They turn up from time to time. Often in Hawaii, like John was maybe thinking, or (obviously) Australia. Just watch Ebay or the buy & sell boards of local forums.

Why would you ask such a silly question. ;)
I am forced to work 60 hours a week or quit my job.
I just lost two of my co workers last week. One of 17 years and another at 30.
I have no choice, but to show up or quit.
There are three options, Work the overtime, go on medical leave or quit.
It is the way of the new Corporate America.
You can't escape it.
I get paid well, so its not going to stop anytime soon.
I will prevail until I can retire. ;)

Wow!

That was quick Daron.

I like that blue color.  900 yds of straight 80.  What are you thinking of spooling it up with?
