1.5 Day out of San Diego

1.5 Day Prowler trip - San Diego - Sat 5/28

We searched for tuna from 6AM to 8PM offshore San Diego and found LOTS of them...

Cast into boils with no hits.

18 on the boat only caught a few - three yft to 25# on the troll

one 50# bft on a flat fall jig on the fall.

We had lots of live bait - anchovies and sardines with a few mackerel mixed in.

The tuna were full of red crab.

It was a calm beautiful long day on the water .

My legs were stronger walking off the boat than walking on.

Lots of fish out there....  not too many pics

Thanks for the report. Isn't it funny how whatever the fishes belly is full of is not what you got in the bait tank?
