Has anyone had a main gear failure where it has sheared off from the post. I had this happen recently when fishing the reef offshore from the very first fish, losing it and having to wind the line back onto the spool by hand. The spool would go in and out but wouldn't turn, so on returning it has been sent back for repairs, can anyone tell me if there is an upgrade for the main gear or will be replaced by the same thing? I don't have much faith in this reel any more so will be looking at something different, Shimano or Daiwa I think.
