Yes it never gets old.  The rocks on the sidewalls still tremor with the toughts of back when this was a free flowing river, with no Damms to slow it down, teeming with sturgeon, and salmon from a bajillion years back. Mans greed for power over the earth to me does get old.
Its still a historic place and quite open, arid, and undeveloped.  If you dont count the Mega Landfill.   But that makes jobs, I guess thats ok.   Thanks for sharing.   Sorry to be so blunt.    gst.

Damns were made for only two reasons, Hydro power to power the nuclear program at Hanford and agriculture.  Either way, it has had a big impact on the ecosystem.  Still beautiful!

I love the Columbia!

Drove across the Vantage bridge Friday on the way to Spokane and again on Sunday headed back home to Port Angeles.

Pulling a 36 foot loaded gooseneck horse trailer, so had to pay attention to the speed limits and grades.

What better place to take a photo of one of my Blue Yonder ABU's:  New in box, never spooled.

Gotta watch where you step!
