There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.

thats exactly what I imagine everytime I read guys setting their drag at 35#-40# on the Mak and other reels

Increasing drags makes the reel smoother at where it was intended to be fished at. If you want to play tug of war, you better have a knife by your side.
Forget about all the reasons why something may not work. You only need to find one good reason why it will.
