Those Kentucky Reels were made not far from me.
Louisville is about an hour away.
We Hillbilly's have some skills. ;D
I need to find one for my own collection.

Louisville and Frankfort are the areas you usually hear about.  Snyder made the first ones in Paris, Ky.  Some other Kentucky names are Meek, Milam, Deally, Gayle.  When you get back before the turn of the century there is some serious money involved.

Kinda like the old Abu guys in Sweden, the Kentucky guys were watch makers and jewelers that probably saw an opportunity to expand er change their business. the Meeks reel buildin goes back to the 1830's. I believe the Bluegrass no. 2 & 3 are more popular collector versions. Anyway easy to look up. Now I gotta look the Talbots up, tightlines!
Fishing tackle is an art form and all fish caught on the right tackle are"Gfish"!
