Wyzer

Well sorry this is actually my second post, I had to comment on the great documentation of the Pflueger tear down and polish!

Glad to find this site, as I like to buy things at garage sales, to use for myself, and repair/clean them up.

I look forward to casting around this site!

Welcome Wyzer.  Enjoy your stay and participate often. :)
:D I talk with every part I send out and each reel I repair so that they perform at the top of their game. :D

Alan--

I am interested in a musky reel for pulling cowgirls and other big bucktails. I have heard that some reels will wear out if used to pull bucktails of this size because the gears can't handle the load.  Can you recommend a reel or two that won't "wear out?"  I hear the reel should have steel or brass gears in order to last.  I know you get what you pay for, but I'm not the type who spends $400-500.00 for a reel so if there is something reasonable that'd be best.

Thanks!
