Took my grandson Conor out to Santa Cruz Island to get one last shot at some rockfish before the season closes. He did pretty well for a 7 year old. The boat was packed with lots of rent toddlers but he stuck it out at the rail for the day. Nothing big but lots of tasty fillets for the table. Thanks for looking Sheridan

I love to take kids fishing! The look on their faces when they hook up;it just makes my day. I have volunteered for "kid fishing day" here on the Delta and it is just a great experience.
Parents don't frame pictures of their kids playing video games. Take them fishing!

Rancanfish

Good job! Rockfish pull plenty hard for the little guys to really get excited.

My daughter passed on a bad cold to me, so that pretty much killed my work and fishing for end of year.
I woke today and suddenly nothing happened.

Great job getting grandson out on the water.....my boys still tell the tales "of each trip I caught more fish than dad".... tell the youngster Cool Beans for me......Bill
It may not be very productive,
but it's sure going to be interesting!

Conor will never forget these trips, Sheridan --

You are doing it right.

Memories that will last forever for both of you -- plus introducing a new generation to a decent and active outdoor sport..

Conor looks pretty proud of all those fish.  It's a good thing that you have such a great collection of fishing gear because as he gets older and graduates to longer and longer trips, Conor is going to need it, and having a grandson who would love to inherit all of that great stuff takes a lot of the guilt out of buying more.  You are a very lucky Grandpa!

Donnyboat

Good stuff Sheridon, great memories to look back on, you and Conor will share these days, the rest of your lives, happy new year, donnyboat.

That's a nice haul for the both of you to end the year...I'm so envious as I sit on my butt and be a keyboard fisherman.
:D I talk with every part I send out and each reel I repair so that they perform at the top of their game. :D
