I got so frustrated at educated trout refusing my self-tied stonefly offerings, I grabbed one(easy to do during a hatch), chucked it out on a bare hook and immediately got broken-off. Karma pay-back for cheating.
Can you fish there after sunset? Big trout come out then and will go after large streamers.

Those are a couple thick bright rainbows, especially the top one.  Thought this would be a bit early for pre-spawn changes. Nice work in cold weather. No way that you would  see me out there

Gulp nightcrawlers,,,,i just cut a 1or2in peace off and run the hook out the bottom,,,i got 1 today after fishing the regular section for 3hrs didn't even see a trout,,,so back to the catch and release area,,,?

23 today with wind chill of 14 ,,,, it's snowing right now and we don't know how much 5 to 23 inches or freezing rain later,,,, AI said don't use 10-10-10 use salt melt...? Well put down 40lbs of 10-10-10 it melted the snow as it hit no problem then i got two 40lb bags of solf bright for $15 on sale,,,it's salt for pools,,,and put the snow blade on the truck i think I'm ready,,,,
