Hey Alan,

I was looking into Yamalube grease for my reel repairs and noticed there was a "multi-purpose" and a "marine" type grease.  I wanted to check if you knew what the difference was and which you recommended?

Thanks,

I've been looking for it locally in N.California for a while now and no one seems to stock it. All the marine shops I looked at carry what appears to
be the newer packaging with the orange /black/gray. I didn't want the 3oz grease gun tube tubes and it's not made in the 1lb tub.
The 1lb tub was what I wanted and settled on Sta-Lube Multi Purpose Marine grease. I like to paint my parts with an acid brush or dip screws.
It's teal in color and the container says it has rust and corrosion protection. I'm sure it not as good, but good enough for me ::)

A Yamaha dealer that handles outboards or watercraft should have the Marine grease or can get it. Even the one in Redding (Podunk), CA has it and we're four hours to the ocean. ;D

Measure once, cut twice. Or is it the other way around? ::)
