TLD30 2 Speed issue

how can a spool sit too far to the left?  the cross pin is in....but spool is too far left?

The spool will be pulled to the right as the drag lever is applied. The more that the spool is pulled to the right the more drag pressure you will have. The drag lever pulls the spool against the drag plate, it does not push the drag plate against the spool.                  Rudy
