I know a lot of Penn parts are interchangeable, but I would like to know if there are any lists or charts that show which parts are interchangeable with which reels?

Sal posted a great image showing the different gears and the reels they go with, which I found really helpful:  http://alantani.com/index.php?topic=5761.msg47592#msg47592

After seeing that image of the gears I started looking for any lists/charts that might show which plates and spools can be swapped out with different reels, and so far Google has failed me in that search.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi Andy --

Liking things that are simple and just work reliably -- this is all I use.

Just take the Reel No. on the left -- then cross correspond it to the Part Key No. at the top.

As an example, we can see that a sleeve spacer, key number "9" is used in 23 reels...9-60.

Plates get a little trickier, since although they may mate up to a particular reel -- the badging number on the exterior may not correspond.

Some parts such as gears, do not have part numbers -- so experience from guys like Sal and others really help us here.

I am grateful to Penn for keeping many of their reliable reels uniform through the decades.

Best,

Fred

The MysticParts site has that chart somewhere.  Trying to find the link...  Mo should know.

Here it is:  https://www.mysticparts.com/Assets/images/pennparts/information/Penn_Service_Parts_List_YR_UNKWN.pdf
