Hello everyone wanted to consult something. Buy a set of bearings for my reel daiwa sl30sh. The gear side bearing is very small compared to what the reel brought. I won it in an auction and it is not proven. It does not have original bearings. That's why I wanted to change them. In my sl20sh those bearings come perfect since they have installed an equal pair for a long time. Does anyone know if the sl30 frame changes over the years or there are different versions of the same reel. Thank you

The size in pic is in metric sustem. Cm and mm. Thx

I cant answer your questions specifically as I've never owned a small reel like that, but have got various of its bigger brothers and have serviced them for many years.
1) I can confirm that those are not the reels original bearings, but that does not meen that they are not the correct size.
2) I've used the bigger reels in that class for 30 years and in that period they never changed the basic design of the reel, nor the bearings.
3) If those are the two spool bearings, then the small one does not "look" the right size, I can be wrong.   The small one sits on the side of the clicker mechanism and the bigger one on the gear side.

That is all I can comment.

Thx for reply. I have.many daiwas 900h (5). This reel only change to ht100 deags provides by alan. In mt country (argentina), in the beach we fisbing at minimun 100 meters why i need long shoots. Smoth and qickly beatings helps to much. I agree with you. Some reel iis better with factory configuration. Respect the bearings in the pics, both is the bearing for gear side. I do de comparation size. Boca hsve onlh 1 set for sl30 and sl20. In my sl20 fit great but in sl30 is other thing. Is small. But is the current and only set. Tbe people no. Write or makr question for this problem so the versión of my reel is smal but diferent. Sorry for my bad english. I hste the translator. I can try learn reeding writting but i hsvent time to study. All of the internal parts should be the same for the SL20SH and SL30SH.   If other parts do not match as well, perhaps the reel is not a SL30SH?   The photo of the frame of your reel does not look exactly like the SL30SH frames that I have seen.  Is there a label on the frame or sideplate with the model name?   Diawa also made a SG30SH.  It had bushings instead of bearings, but was otherwise similar to the SL30SH.

It is not clear from your message if you attempted to fit the bearings from your SL20SH into your SL30SH.  If the 20 reel bearings fit and work well in the 30 reel, then I would assume that the previous owner put the wrong bearing in the 30 reel.

I have found that using a link to to the schematic and identifying  the part number or key number with my question will usually result in more accurate responses.

Hope this helps,

Hi. thanks for answering. Boca bearings only has a set of bearings for the daiwa sl30sh and sl20sh. Put the ones I bought in my sl20sh to see if they were installed well and it was perfect. Today confirm that my sl30sh is not like any other. My fishing buddy has one and the boca that do not fit into mine in the one they entered are perfect. The hole where it enters bearings on the side of the gears is much larger. Is a different version of frame and not only changes the size of the bearing but also the internal shape of the frame. It's crazy. I never happened something like this and did not find something similar on the web. I'm going to check the version that you suggest. thank you very much

friends. I solved the mystery. Although my reel says daiwa sl30sh the frame corresponds to the sealine sg30h. Uses daiwa type a  bearing on the mechanism side. The daiwa sl30sh uses the ruleman type d. As I mix everything I really do not know
