Anyone ever seen one of these in a Penn SS?

I just serviced two reels that had this screw mounted opposite the handle. Anyone ever see an SS like this?

This is the normal screw part 9a-650. The cover (part 233-650) is missing.

I think this must be the first time I've ever seen a generation 2 spinfisher. I confused it with a 3rd gen. Thanks George.
