Mike's Reel I refurbed for him a while back has a loose clicker button.
I know I have fixed this problem on the 12/0 with the button and c clip for the 115L2.
The button on the 14 and 16 is bigger, but is the shaft the same size?
I don't want to take the chance of peening a 16/0 plate and cracking it.
I have never had to replace a button on a 117 or 118.
I just don't know if it will work without two reels opened up to look at.
Then, I'm still not sure if I will be able to tell until I grind the rivet off, then there is no turning back.
The 9/0 through 16/0 use the same clicker tongue according to mysticparts, but the button side of the 14 and 16/0 have a bigger head.
The shaft has to be the same size at the tongue, but I don't know if it is tapered through the plate.
Then there might be a length issue with the plate thickness with the 115L2 button.
Anyone tried this?

Forget about all the reasons why something may not work. You only need to find one good reason why it will.-Sal
