cleaning after last trip, dropped on concrete; now spool will not move;
loosened drag, nothing. goes into & out of low gear, but cannot move spool.

before i start taking apart, any suggestions? No cracks on frame. when dropped hit on
top/outside (Opposite handle, if that matters)

2 years old, always ran great.

thanks

Keta

Was the drag engaged?  If so check the pinion bearing.

I have all of the answers, yup, no, maybe.

had to be (slightly) to keep the line from unspooling; should i use the
tutorial at the start of this section? not gonna take it all the way down;

can i just take the side plate off without removing the handle & other stuff &
check the pinon bearing?

Something got bent... spool shaft, spool itself, frame.

Chatting with Mark about this and he is probably right.

You can take the side plate off but you have to remove the handle and gears to get to the pinion bearing.

Measure the frame at the foot and opposite at the top,,then front and back. Most likely bent the frame.  If so you MAY be able to open it up.  Most likely the frame is toast, because it's a cast frame and not milled.  Bill
It may not be very productive,
but it's sure going to be interesting!

thanks; everything turned ok when it was apart; I'll measure the frame & order a new one if need.
