I'm sure I'm missing something, and without having reel in hand to look at, it's hard to say! But, just a long shot....looks like a valve stem removal tool could be Dremel'd down to fit....just thinking

Meanwhile - my scrounge produced a Eureka moment and I present to you the outback shack roll-pin special .

Daiwa told me that their proprietary tool broke so they fabricated a new one. No way the roll-pin will ever break.
