Tyrnos Revisited

Well since my last post a while back about the Carbontex drag upgrade I did to the Tyrnos 8 II I picked up when they were being blown out I have a update. I thought the 11 lbs of drag pressure I stated that I got on the new and greased drag washer I installed seemed a little light. After doing a more intensive test I am truly getting 15 lbs of drag pressure at strike with full freespool on a strait pull off of the reel measured with a spring scale. With any additional drag increase I start to get side load of the bearings and start loosing freespool. Sorry if anyone was misled about the drag pressure I said I got after the upgrade. All in all I'm happy I did the upgrade, now I just need to catch some fish worthy of putting this reel to a test.
