The Penn 9/0 on the left is from the late 40's. It belongs on the lighthouse box in my first posting.  I got a couple of 9/0's mixed up (old age).  The center 9/0 is a later model with an Accurate frame and Tiburon handle.   The reel on the right was going to be a parts reel until I noticed none of the parts have a number.  This reel may be from the early 40's.  I think Penn started putting numbers on their parts in 1948 or 1949.

John, I think you gotta put that parts reel back together and make it a keeper.
:D I talk with every part I send out and each reel I repair so that they perform at the top of their game. :D

Yes Bryan, that is what I am going to do.

John,
I have to say I have 3 or 4 -9/0's (no numbers), but none as beautiful as that beauty on the left... I'm on the hunt!
Also, you have the nicest parts reel I ever saw  ;)

Thanks Dom. The parts reel was $30. but I need a new spool to put it into service.  The spool has "spread out" about 3/32"
and rubs on the plate.  If you look close you can see the mark on the inside of the spool.
