Cool Day On Calicos

Fished the close island today for limit style fishing on big bass. My friend Zack and I must of released 25 bass this size, around 6.5 lbs and kept 5 for eating and we also released maybe 10 barracuda.

The funniest thing happened when I fished a Salas 7X light, bass smaller than the jigs length were the only thing that woud eat the big iron, go figure.

No yellowtail sorry to report but a good day anyway.

Fun day, I think my favorite kind of fishing. Those are some beautiful fish you caught and they do taste pretty good. Those little ones have eyes bigger than their stomach!  Thanks for the report.
