This titanium halibut has been out in the weather for over 45 years and is behind my fish cutting table.
I thought you might enjoy it.   Why did I not do more of these when I had the chance?

Wow, that is beautiful, Gary!  You have many talents!   Tell us about the technique...

Well it not that hard to do,  Thats why I was able to do it.  Here,s how.
1  start with an idea in your head.  I never have a pattern.
2  you have to work with the size canvas (metal) you have .   In this case titanium sheet.
3  Use a cutting torch (acetalene/oxygen)  preheat the outer part of the pattern,  Press the oxygen lever and the molten metal will be blown out the bottom of the sheet. This is how the form was made.   You can always make the thing smaller if you need to.
4   to make the dots and other blue colored marks heat the ares desired cherry red.  Titanium can be heat colored in sort of yellos, tans blue as show and more colors depending on the heat temperature.    I,n my case it was kinda crude and I never really appreciated what I did till years later.   Ive made a half a dozen fish wall art pieces and no two are alike.   These are like forever type outdoor pcs and are not affected in the long run by the weather.     Thanks for the interest. ;)

That is very cool, especially being titanium.

I've seen it.  It is pretty cool and it is a lot bigger in person.  Dominick
Leave the gun.  Take the cannolis.

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.
