Picked up a 270 line counter a while back from the Auction site and it looked pretty shabby. Well, I'll eventually get around to it, Maybe.

Then Fred came to mind. He has the parts and more experience than anyone I know on these Quick's and countless other spinners.

Of course Fred's work is beyond excellent and prices are always more than fair. Mr. O. did not disappoint and it came out better than new.

Fred,  ... top shelf work as usual and thanks very much for taking this project!

1st and 2nd pick are the line counter and Fred had mentioned to me it was the European version as it was graduated in meters. Something I didn't notice. Now I'm proud to add this reel too my collection!

3rd pic is a nice 2 speed which needed a few hard to get parts and Fred was able to supply. Everything went together like clockwork and turned it into a great reel!

And lastly a group pic. I've had quite a few request to do the slotted/drilled rotor spool combo and those are slated to be completed this winter. I have all the fixturing made, Moly Resin is ordered, and I also have the paint delivery system so I have no excuses.

I'll be using Spra-tool canisters which will save my air-brush.
There's no doubt, local work for custom stuff has been very interesting and a lot of people are just looking for something different. At times it can be both humbling and challenging but always interesting.

Unfortunately, I only get to post a fraction of my projects because of time constraints, but I'll do my best to get some in process photo's as these builds progress.
For any not familiar with the conversion, I've posted his video. This guys been doing for a while and I've heard the quality is excellent. (bigdmc)

Thanks all and have a great day,  ..  Lou

There is nothing like lying flat on your back on the deck, alone except for the helmsman aft at the wheel, silence except for the lapping of the sea against the side of the ship. At that time you can be equal to Ulysses and brother to him.
