The fishing was rough, the ocean was too.  We ended up with 2.5 small albacore each but we got to fish with friends, and some of Hardy Boy's friends from north of the border.  I enjoyed the company and the slow fishing.  The captain and  crew tried hard to put us on a good bait stop but it was hard due to the ocean conditions and the bait getting beat up on the way out.

I pinched a nerve in my lower back misjudging the pitching of the boat toward the end of the trip and missed out on the last 2 hours of fishing.

Thanks for putting up with me on the way up and back Greg and tell Linda thank you again.  If you need company on Wickiup any time let me know, sockeye size kokanee and mid size browns sound like fun.

I have all of the answers, yup, no, maybe.

Thanks to everyone on this charter for a very memorable time and lots of memorable small talk with the fishiest group of guys I've ever shared the rail with. I actually felt like the rookie amongst all the experienced offshore fishermen.

It was definitely a sporty ocean, but calmed as the day went on. The fishing was very spotty from the get go and the tuna must have decided to stay down all day, but have no regrets and would do it again in a heartbeat.

Thanks to the captain and crew for helping make this trip a memorable one even with slow fishing

The captain and crew were great and worked hard, the fish just were not there and the bait got beat up worse than we did.   It looks like the final leg of the OTC, out of Garibaldi, had similar fishing.

And the group were all GREAT!

X2 on the trip, couldn't find a better group of guys to fish with!

My pleasure Lee, without your good company, probably would have fallen asleep at the wheel somewhere over Government Pass on the way home....

It was a fun trip for sure. The fish don't always bite the way we would like but thats the way it goes. Still ended up with some good eating loins and a case of the small jars. It was great company and I learned a lot plus you guys were not hard on our Canadian guys beer, even my buddy rallied for a couple after chumming hard for a good part of the morning. Thanks to Ted for bunking us up and thanks to Two Tone Tony for the comedic releif it was a blast chatting with you! My two buddies got their first albacore and the sick one may consider doing it again !

Cheers:

Thank you Ted for putting us on a great boat with an outstanding crew at the peak of the season.  You did everything within your power to set us in the right place at the right time.  The weather and the fish are beyond control, but I think that everyone caught a fish or two or more.  The highlight for me was getting to finally meet you and Greg and Tony and Lee and Todd and his Canada crew, and that alone was worth the price of admission.  I wish that I hadn't spent all but the last two hours of fishing talking with my good friend Ralph, but I made an amazing recovery when I came tight on my first albacore in a decade.  Thanks again for everything.
