Abu Garcia Orra Winch removing spool

Hi. Any ideas on how to move the side plate upwards to remove spool. Google failed me it only showed models with a thumb screw on the handle side!pictures below. There is a solid post on handle side, in other models a thumb screw releases side plate. The solid post on my model has no threaded head.

G.  REMOVING THE SIDEPLATE  Orra™ reels are equipped with a removable palm sideplate that allows access to the spool.  To open the sideplate, slide the spring-loaded sideplate bar away from the palm sideplate with your thumb.  While holding the sideplate bar in the "open" position, twist the sideplate in an upward motion until it reaches the stop position.  The sideplate can now be removed.

Thanks. I figured it out only after wd 40 the post for an hour. It was salt water crusted. An hour soak did trick to allow spring load to work!
