The rod was priced fair but shipping was over 200% of the rod's price.  Well the company lost a sale and I will get a US built Phoenix Titan, and for less than the one I wanted was with the outrageous shipping cost.

I still do not understand why slow pitch rods are not more available in the US.

70% - 80% or more of rods/reels of "weekend warriors" are cheapo or "budget" gear that is better to toss instead of fixing them.
and Im not get into off-shore fishing trips costs, dedicated gear for cow tunas, etc.

Lee, so you were looking for a slow pitch rod?
I have a friend on Mazatlan, Mexico (another fishing paradise) he owns a nice sporty charter boat there and his pro staff of Tsunami, I have seen some of his vids catching a nice sized YT on those skinny rods, you might want to take a look on those rods, the cost 1/3 of the Phenix Titan
Im actually thinking on selling my trevala XXH and get one of those.
