Just wanted to share this with you, Koyo facts about bearing maintenance(lubrication) from the Japanese bearing manufacturer Koyo.

Found another table from a manufacturer of aluminum complex grease. I think Yamaha grease is also aluminum complex, so this table seems to confirm
the good properties Alan has been talking about.

I am not sure, but I think so.  At least name and temperature span point in that direction.

i was curious about bentone.  looks like it's similar to bentonite, which is a clay.

Found some synthetic greases containing Bentone, seems as they can resist higher temperatures than other types of grease.  Maybe they use Bentone  because it is cheaper than Teflon?
