so, I have this guy who since some years ago "only" use Calstar rods and recently bought a bunch of fishing rods to a friend, those rods come from different brands and colors, etc. so, he wanted me to rebuild them to look alike those Calstar rods colors.
I did my best effort to acomplish the job.

you are the judges

get ready for a bunch of pics

first some pictures of the factory rods, some were in good shape while others needed a guide or two.

Compadre, that's your best work yet, and that's saying something. Stellar! What are using as full clear coat?

One of these days if I get really good I hope my wraps look like yours. Your lines are very crisp as always.

thanks for your words Johny boy, they're sure look good, for full clear coat I used the same thread finish, guys in Baja are really rough on their gear and even when it adds a bit of weight to the rod, its the best way I have found to make the rod kinda scratch proof.

thanks Jason, on those fishing rods I tried a new wrapping tech for color combination that I havent used before, the wrapps look pretty clean and better than my thread wraps from 3-4 years ago.

just keep wrapping
