Really good info, did your 306 pum come with a counter weight??? I've seen several kits for sale that had no counter weight.
They call it fishing, not catching

  I've never seen a counter weight for one. I don't think it even needs one. It balances just as well now as it did with the bail on the reel. You might be thinking of the 302...I saw there is a counterweight for the 302 PUM.

   I just noticed the spool wasn't full on that 302...so more realistically the max would be about 14 pounds...still pretty impressive. 8)
