I am missing some parts but I am not sure which ones.  Can someone please help me with what parts I need and where I can pick them up? eBay has little to no parts for 110N and buying another reel is an option but just not what I want to do right now.  The bail is very mushy and I think I am missing a spring somewhere? So, the reel is not working properly because the cup and spool are missing parts. I also noticed that I am missing the drags.  The parts in the reel body seem to all be there and work correctly except for the little pin that goes into the bottom of the spool shaft. It is bent with two doglegs in it. I can wiggle it to get it in but I don't think that's the way it is supposed to be?

Hi BM!
Try and get some photos up so the missing parts can be properly identified. The Sensei of DAMs will be along soon!

Cheers,
Andrew

If you need DQ parts, Beachmaster -- I have those available for Alan Tani members.

I will need photos of your reels issues -- showing what is missing or tweaked is clear -- and what you think you need.

Should be easy enough.

Got it figured out on the pics!

Looks like all these bail components and slide are in place, you probably need to take out the bail spring and give the entire bail assembly a good cleaning.  The pin definitely needs replaced.

Is there another coiled spring or is there only one?

After you clean up the bail assembly -- you might need a new bail spring -- and for sure a slide pin.

That coppery thing yellow-circled on the trip slide -- does not belong in the reel, I believe.  That could be causing your bail issue -- or someone added it on to try and jerry-rig a fix for something else worn out.  Should take it off.

Then you will need to let us know what spool drag parts you need.

And if anything else -- let me know -- in a PM, along with your address.  I can send it out after we return home just after the First.  Out of town currently.

Everything else in your photos seems fine.  Just needs a good cleaning and lube with modern greases and synthetic oil.

The pin can be straightened out -- but it is not generally worth the hassle.  This small part must be smooth and lubricated so that the spool shaft & oscillation slide work with no possibility of hanging up.

Hey Fred, I think that is part of my finger you see as the coppery colored piece in the yellow circle.  Also is there supposed to be a coiled spring in each side of the bail? I only have one coiled spring.

Awesome! Ok I am out of town too and will PM you when I get back. I cleaned up the bail assembly and took it all apart and it still is a bit mushy and is not operating correctly. My anti-reverse is not engaging as well either with the cup.

I already have two 110N, but should be getting another in mail tomorrow from ebay.  It's supposed to rain the next few days, so I'll probably be disassembling it tomorrow and can post pics if you need them for reference. Last time I had problems with the anti-reverse on an N model, it was clogged with old lube and started working again after cleaning.

Got the bail working! It's not super crisp, but works. I think it would do great with a new spring. I pulled apart the coil to give it some more "spring" and one of the ends of the spring was not at a straight 90 to stay in the little hole of the bail side.  My anti-reverse I just can't figure out. Everything moves as it should on it.

The A/R consists of about (5) parts including a spring that forces a aluminum dog against the ratcheted inside of the rotor.

If it is gummed up, warped, stuck, or worn -- it will not work.

In order to get this reel working properly -- EVERY part needs to be cleaned.  It has been left abused for too long.

It will turn out as new when completed -- but shortcuts or half-measure fixes will result in halfway results.

Well a freakin screwed up!  I couldn't leave well enough alone. The anti-reverse wasn't working because the dog was wore out, so I figured I would wedge a screwdriver in there and bend it outwards a little so that it would catch the notches on the cup.  It worked and I needed to bend it a little more for it to completely catch and SNAP! As you can see it's all over now...I have a reel that cannot be repaired. No anti-reverse. I suppose I could fish it like that...looks like this reel has just been turned in to a parts reel and I will have to purchase a replacement from Ebay. Thanks for everyone's help nonetheless.
