Thank you Tommy. Hope I don't twist one off. Thought of using a Dremmil to cut a slot for a screwdriver, but will try your suggestion first. Orvis schematics show slotted studs.

I have my first Orvis 100 arriving today, can't wait to dig into it. Lots of great info in this thread.

Well, the Orvis arrived and it's a parts reel. Thankfully I didn't pay much but the foot had broken off and was reattached at an angle somehow, with a rivet and some epoxy from what I can tell. Spins OK and the bail is sluggish but no point in working on this one...into the parts reel bin it goes.

CincyD,
I think I have one somewhere. If I locate it, I will send it to you in Port Charlotte.
It might be a 150. I'm not sure. I will PM you.

CD,
Sent you a PM a couple days ago. Please respond before I lose the reel.
Downsizing and stuff is constantly being moved.

Sandbar, you sure did and I thought I replied but it never sent...be on the lookout for a PM!

Thanks much!!!

Steve/SandBar was kind enough to ship me an Orvis 100. I really appreciate the "pay it forward" aspect of this and hope I can return the favor sooner rather than later.

The Orvis 100 arrived from Steve/SandBar and I opened it up this evening. Dry as a bone inside with the exception of two little bits of old beige dried up grease inside. Like somebody cleaned it then never lubed it again. Fascinating, you never quite know what'll you find. Many thanks to Steve for his generosity!
