Ted Williams 550 Reel in a sack

Hope there is some help out there. I was given(in a sack guaranteed to contain all parts) a Ted Williams 550 reel put out by Sears. I've been able to figure out everything, I think, except for the drag sequence, I have it figured out. I can find nothing about the reel anywhere except there are intact reels for sale on various sites, as relics. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Help would be appreciated.
