Curado 201G6 thumb bar

I've got a Curado 201G6 less than a year old. I've notice lately that when you depress the thumb bar (clutch) to cast it seems like it grinds a little or is just rough feeling. I've disassembled the handle side and taken a look at everything but it all looks new. Can anyone give me some suggestions to smooth out that feeling?

usually it's just crud that gets into the frame where the thumb bar is held.  once that happens, it's hard to get them perfectly smooth again.

If it's less than a year old, i would return it. In my opinion, the G reels are very low quality. I have had several through the shop that are worn out or have serious corrosion problems.
