Does anyone have any info on pole? It's in pretty good shape for a pawn shop buy. I was planning to fish with it and wondering if that's a good idea or not. Thanks

I like those old brown Fenwicks. Give it a go what have you got to loose?

Cheers:

That's true but I was just checking to see if it was a rare model for any reason.

Model should be a PLS 72.  Spinning- two  piece right?

I have been told that  first letter on the serial number denotes the batch/year.

According to these fly rod collectors, yours would be circa 1971-1973.

Ebay search of completed auctions by rod model is your friend.

Still have a PLS 65 somewhere. Was my go to rod growing up.

Actually, it was K-Mart, not Wal-Mart where I bought mine.  I had a K-Mart ABU 5000C on it.  It was a little soft, but good for 1/2 ounce lure.
