"Frankenine" 1st catch/Bowfin Excalibur/LB60

I finally caught a speckled cat with "Frankenine" brown head plate(courtesy Fred)White OC handle (Gfish) maroon tail plate (EBAY)

Then Excalibur(DQ 220-Fred parts) pulled in a Bowfin I don't have enough hot sauce to eat one of these, and they do not go back in the pond...

Thorhammer sent me some goodies one of which was a pretty yellow handle I put on the LB60 Greg gave me.

There are some great guys on here !

Nice work! Bowfins are gnarly, and can take over a watershed. They fight well, tho.

  You guys got me thinkin' about bowfins...here's a video from years ago. We were actually fishing for smallmouth bass but the bowfins were on the chew! 8)

That's  a good ole bigun Mo ! I think some folks eat them ,but I  got some bass,crappie,and bream in cooler ready to fillet for supper tonight,speckled cats are good eatin' but I let cats soak in salt water overnight.

took over almost all of our waters and they grow to the size of a palm, max.
Nothing is catch`d without that catfish around, Serbia, Balkans.
Some genius introduced it in mid 20-th century, into our waters.
Luck is when good preparation meets opportunity.
