Might need to be respooled with fresh line.

I have seen 4000 year old artifacts recovered from Phonecian shipwrecks that looked better than that.

Be interesting to see how well it would come out though.  We might be surprised.  We have some really talented and clever expert reel restorers on our site!

I think I saw this reel on a big auction site:  "Used once, mild boat rash - No Lowballers!" It would be cool to see what could be done but it would definitely take a lot of work and talent...- john

couple of hours in the ultrasonic cleaner with some "acid" and it will be all clean and good as new  ::)

I'm bettin it can be done. Be interesting to see if any parts are fused together.
