I was curious about this reel but wasn't about to shell out $300 for one. As luck would have it I found an "open box" Amazon Warehouse special for $147. I had a Tranx 400 but never warmed up to it for various reasons. Well anyway, it turns out I think I'm really going to like this little reel. It's roughly the same size as Siegler SGN. I think it's going to be perfect for inshore jigging and bottom fishing. As a bonus, since it's not a levelwind and has magnetic cast control, I think I'll be able to use it alongside my Abu Blue Yonder surf fishing for Pompano. I'm impressed with the thumb clutch which works more smoothly than the Tranx. I took some pics but didn't break it down too far since it came well lubed from the factory.
