One of my buyer/pickers who scours the state  at swap meets, estate, and yard sales brought me his monthly stash yesterday.

He knows what I like —- mostly vintage spinners from '70 to '90, glass rods, metal frames, etc.

He has brought me a load nearly every month for the last nearly 30 years.

I buy everything he brings —- regardless whether or not I need it.  Since he is doing all of the work.  Generally dirt cheap prices.

Generally, there are always a few gems and surprises included.

Yesterday —-

Silstar EX30 —- EX & NEW
Shakespeare CUFSO30 —- EX & NEW

(2) ABU Garcia Jordan Lee spinners, metal, high speed, —- new in boxes

Wright-McGill 4 pc pack rod with aluminum tube, 6.5', NEW, yellow
Wright-McGill 5', 2 pc, featherlight, NEW
Wright-McGill Denton Super IV, 8.5', Fly Rod, 2 pc, NEW
(3) Shimano glass spinning rods, Fenwick colors, 5.5', 2 pc, NEW
(3) Shimano glass spinning rods, Fenwick colors, 6.5', 2 pc, NEW
Shimano MLX-10 ultralight reel paired with a custom 4' Fenwick rod, NEW

These will make some good combos for folks to buy.

I just pass these along to members first, then the general angling public next.

Best Regards, Fred

If you are selling the 500C, I may be interested if I can afford it.

I just received a Korean/Vietnam War era radio bag.  I found the one on the right in a dumpster and it was the perfect size for a day of fishing and will hold a couple Plano trays.  For somethings I like to have a back up and found the second on fleabay.  They bags are silicone impregnated so somewhat water resistant.  Perfect for a day of rock cod fishing.  With a shoulder strap my ultimate fishing bag.
It may not be very productive,
but it's sure going to be interesting!

I received the 500C and it is very nice and smooth.
Thank you Fred! I am feeling blessed to finally own one.
I am trying to find my Ryobi Powerful Mini to check it out for size comparison.
Looking forward to pairing up with a rod and taking it to a local pond.

A good pairing on these that won't break the bank —- but will be a great balanced match would be an Eagle Claw 5', 2pc, featherlight, about $23 at Wal-Mart.  Glass and excellent action.  Yellow color.

Another would be a Shimano Solara 5.5', 2 pc, lightweight, about $20 at Sportsman's Warehouse.  Glass and superb action.  In the old Fenwick dark brown blank with the Fenwick wraps.

These are good values on new rods, in fiberglass.

Of course, you could go with an old Fenwick, Garcia Conolon, Ugly Stik, or similar.
