1937 Big drum 15/0 Fin-Nor. Direct drive so line is retrieved in from bottom of reel. LARGE reel from back when big tuna, Marlin and Swordfish Were first being caught by rod and reel and they along with Kovalovsky and of coarse Penn were among the best. Tommy it came with a second handle but off a different reel and a color gold that doesn't match at all. It is one heavy reel !!   Thanks for looking  John Taylor

At the flea market last week there was a Penn 6500SS on a cheap white glass rod for $30, a Mitchell 306 Pro in user shape for $15, and a Daiwa BG 13 in user shape for $10. Didn't have cash for the Penn combo, after lots of agonizing I chose the BG. I might go back for the Mitchell this weekend.

Pick up 3 Daiwa TD1Hi on Ebay in poor condition . All scratch up bad on plastic body ,most letter gone ,all handle bent and plastic at handle knob melted ,very common on these reels
first I polish the plastic to remove scratch ,clean inside out ,replace 4 bearings and keep only one way bearing . This reel also missing a tension cap and a bearing under it . Replaced handle with handle from Abu Garcia part reel

Have all 3 in perfect working condition .I repair this model many times so I remember every nut and bolt on this reel . Missing spool tension adj nut in 1 reel and it come in today from AliExpress . The nut have right thread but much higher and sidewall much thicker ,hitting with star drag so I have to grind them off a lot . need to do the same in another reel that missing nut
