This is an amazing thread. I once fished with a couple guys named Dizzy and Peewee under a falls and hooked a Falstaff beer can while using a Tumwater reel. That day was going to be the start of my YT vlog but I couldn't stand the sound of my voice. ;D

Definitely a cool reel. Looks Italian on the outside. The internals remind me of the Roddy 910.

Paul, that was a great synopsis.  These threads do tend to take on a life of their own sometimes and it's refreshing.

Yes. This was a fun, and interesting, thread. Enjoyed it.

Would you look at that, a Tum Water 860 for sale?  $100 is too much for what amounts to a novelty for me.

Going out to store to look for some beer...  :d

Good grief, there is a 900 and an 860 on that big auction site this week...for very little money.  Do I or don't I? Somebody painted the 900 a terrible gold color but the 860 is clean and low dollars.

CincyDavid

I bought the 860 just so I can say I have the whole set.

Sorry, back to beer. Something I always wondered about; blindfold a lover of common American domestic beer, set out several different popular brands for him to taste; could he tell which ones were which? Would he be able to pick-out his favorite? Just wondering, cause they taste the same to me...
Fishing tackle is an art form and all fish caught on the right tackle are"Gfish"!

Funny you mention that. I rarely drink beer but most "water beers" like Miller Lite and Bud Light taste similar to me, once you get into heavier stuff it's all over the map. Thankfully I tend to stick with distilled beverages.
