Reel Clamp for a Calstar 540?

I just accepted a Calstar 540 jig stick and the cork wrapped butt is 1 3/8" in diameter. My Tiburon framed 505 and 506 won't fit. The clamp bolts are too close together. I went to The tackle shop and we tried a Tiburon XXL Universal and it won't fit around the base of the foot.

Is there an "elegant" way to mount my Jigmasters? I have my Newell footed 500 on there now and the radius of the clamp is for more slender rods but it kinda works.

I use a Duran super clamp on 540's and uluas. Works fine
