fishing trips close to san diego?

Me and my girl are heading to San Diego in the summertime (begining of Juli) and wondered if there is any good fishing opportunities here? Long range?

They are everywhere..........

you would be 400 miles south of me.  that's a 5 hour drive the way roger drives.  any chance we can get you up here?

That is great! I am thinking of renting a mustang or something going on a road trip.. So a meetup is definetly possible! the big question is... How many days of fishing can I get when the girl is being dragged with me... I honestly can't see her on a 36h trip...
