I am in search of an Oscillating Slider for a Shimano Stella 5000FA.
Shimano Part Number RD 8177.
The same part fits Stella 4000FA.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hen's teeth, parts for the early Stellas.

Someone was asking for the same part on here a while ago. From memory there isn't a substitute either.

I wonder if there's enough demand out there for someone to make some up? I believe the part is (sadly) a little cast aluminium bit, maybe someone could CNC from billet? The price per part would presumably be fairly high but if it kept these reels in service it might work out.
