Love the Spinfishers. Solid reels. I like the bail less version. Didn't know it was a NE thing. Gotta get me one.

Wow, a great improvement with the brass gears in all the VII models. Kinda lost interest in the Spinfishers after the V came out. But there is some great variability with the different types of VII's offered.
I have a Shimano Ultegra for shore casting, but it's plasticky and flimsy feeling, with some kinna zinc alloy main gear. The Spinfisher VII Long cast looks very similar, but much better, hmmmm...
