Good evening all.

I was recently gifted a pair of old 80 single speeds. They are both in decent shape, but will likely never be fished again. My friend that gave them to me, recently passed. His wife and him talked about it and they gave me his entire fishing gear collection- 20 internationals, from 30w to a 130.  Most are in decent condition, as they haven't been used must in the last 15 years, and i serviced them last winter we really fished.

Any ways, checking things out, I see I need (1) click button. I did some digging, but i can't find any for sale being they are 45, nearly 50 year old reels.

I wouldn't be opposed to refuting to a more modern style clicker if that's an option.  The one on the second 80 is held on a spring loaded stud with an allen/set screw.  The new style i think has a lock nut.

Anyways, does anyone know where i might f'ing the click button, other than buying a $500 parts reel off ebay?

Mystic parts has some info. It looks like the original part 36-50 isn't available but the 36C-50 may work. I'd call them up and confirm.

There's a thread detailing the fix.

This is probably my favorite autocorrect of the week.

If you have a picture of the original I might have one.
