Seamaster Spinning Reel

I happened to see this on ebay (listed for $8,500) and I wonder why the seller listed it as the "The Holy Grail" of spinning reels. 





Can someone here provide some history or information on this reel. 

Here is what the description states:

"The Holy grail" - World famous

Hand Made by Capt. Robert McChristian jr. in Miami Florida circa late 50's early 60's. Produced in very small batches.

Known by his friends as Capt. Mack a master machinist boat captain and inventor of the world famous Seamaster fly reels.

This Highly sought after RED KNOB reel works perfect. The pinnacle of perfection in fine angling equipment.

To make your life easier, just go to the website above. There you will find information on this highly sought after reel. As for the advertisement on eBay, it's a scam. Those pictures of that particular reel have been periodically surfacing on eBay for a few years now. It's always a different seller with a large amount of feedback, always being sold from a pawnshop somewhere. I believe that actual reel sold years ago to a private collector but I don't know who.
