9 to 1 Jigmaster?

Has anyone ever opened one of these up? Another garage find. Maybe it was for surf fishing to keep the weight off the bottom on the retrieve? It doesn't look stout enough for Yellowtail yo yo iron fishing.

Almost bought one of those transmissions at a yard sale myself.

Guy wanted $100, it was on a Squidder 146.

Had it said Penn on it I would have bought it but it was aftermarket.

Kicking myself now for not getting it.
