Thanksgiving Freshie - Robalo!

It's that time of year again, although it totally surprised me this time. Went to try out a baby Rapala that I got at a swap meet, thinking Peacock or Largemouth, when BAM!, this beauty hit.

I'm amazed at how healthy and clean this fish looked, and it was actually keeper size, but back in she went as I won't eat anything out of those (urban lake) waters. Note the tiny lure on the lips.

Made my day, a Thanksgiving Schnookie!

Lol, I was tempted! But believe me, the ol' gal gave me such a thrill in her spectacular battle antics that she deserved to go free. She jumped, she sounded, she made that drag scream! Yes Jason, happiness is a warm drag.
