Buddy came by today to offer support/encouragement/criticism/bring beer while I was working on getting the Volvo back together.  But when he saw me zip tie the impeller to compress it into the housing he suddenly elevated me to "maintenance God" status.  I have to think if there is anyone in the AT Community that isn't doing this that they are doing it in a much easier way that I would like to hear about!  With the supplied glycerin on the impeller blades it just slides through the zippy and into the housing. - johnIMG_4790.jpg

I can`t believe you done did  put that zip tie on the rubber vane that way .   Especially when you had beer cans to work with .     Y`all should have slit a can or two   ans   mades  a engin   ring compressor like gismo to puts the impeller in the housing !!!  :d

Forget about all the reasons why something may not work. You only need to find one good reason why it will.   Alto Mare

Genius!

Installing mine was a PITA...

On one, once I got it in, one of the rubber arm thingi's had rolled back over on it's self so I got to do it a third time...

Buy it nice or buy it twice.

Being able to improvise and make a plan is what makes a great home mechanic, to overcome the ever present problem of lack of specific specialised tools. :d

Ah, this old man has an outboard impeller to install. And I have no pride, I am outright stealing this idea.
I woke today and suddenly nothing happened.

It may not be very productive,
but it's sure going to be interesting!

That is a great tip. Good work.
